Catherine rides CATA bus from Pacific to Atlantic Ocean

(AP) Or at least it was ALMOST from the Pacific to the Atlantic (really it was from the Rio de la Plata of Buenos Aires to the Rio Mapocho of Santiago). The ENTIRE trip from Montevideo to Santiago ended up being about a day and a half. "I enjoyed every minute of the trip!" Catherine said. "Except when I tripped over a snoring Peruvian immigrant, my aisle companion, in a desperate attempt for water at 4 a.m. on the way to Chile."

Here is the bus stopped at the Chile-Argentine border located in the gorgeous Andes mountains.



"This is one of my favorite places on Earth," Catherine said.
